Anaplan remains the system of record for the budget and the model. Kinnect is the record of the approved positions, the approvals behind them and the variance evidence.

What it does
Anaplan and Kinnect, on one position
- Anaplan keeps the planYour headcount budget, the model and the scenarios Finance builds around them stay in Anaplan. Kinnect connects to your planning tool by file exchange: governed positions and variance evidence go out as CSV, budgets and planned headcount per cost center come in the same way; Anaplan is supported through the same planning integration framework.
- Kinnect provides the positions and the evidenceThe Finance page exports its current view as CSV: positions with status, cost center, manager, planned hire date and annualized cost, plus the variance bridge lines that explain plan versus actual. Scenarios export a change list, and the Hiring Tracker exports the open and filled seats behind the forecast.
- The plan comes back inCost center budgets and planned headcount import from CSV in Settings > Finance (the pricing page calls this Bulk Upload Annual Plan). From then on the Finance page and the Dashboard reconcile every approved position and every event against the imported plan, continuously, without another spreadsheet.

Setup
How setup works
Build the plan in Anaplan as you do today.
Import cost center budgets and planned headcount into Kinnect from CSV in Settings > Finance.
Export the current Finance view, the Hiring Tracker or a scenario change list from Kinnect as CSV and load it into Anaplan.
Repeat on your planning cadence. The Finance page reconciles continuously in between.
No live or scheduled connector to Anaplan is published today. The pricing page lists Financial Planning integration on the Enterprise tier and scope is agreed per customer.

Who uses it

Finance
FP&A keeps modeling in Anaplan and gets a governed, approved list of positions with cost to model from, instead of a headcount export nobody signed off.
HR and HRIS
HR sees the same plan Finance loaded, per cost center, and can answer "are we over plan" from the Dashboard rather than a monthly reconciliation.
Recruiting
Recruiting works from the funded positions in the plan, so open reqs and the forecast never disagree about how many seats exist.
