Lever integration

Requisitions that start as approved positions

Every opening in Lever should belong to a position that is approved and funded. Kinnect governs that position; Lever keeps recruiting.

Standard APIs. Your Recruiting stays the system of record for what it owns.

Lever and Kinnect connected: Requisition, when recruiting starts on an approved position, outbound from kinnect; Candidate stage changes, inbound to kinnect; Hired event (closes the req, fills the position), inbound to kinnect; Candidates, interviews, offers, inbound to kinnect.

What it does

Lever and Kinnect, on one position

  • Lever owns the candidatesCandidates, interviews, scorecards and offers live in Lever, and recruiters work there as they do today. Kinnect connects to your ATS to push requisitions from approved positions and receive candidate and hire events back; Lever is supported through the same ATS integration framework.
  • Kinnect owns the position behind the openingA hiring manager clicks Start Recruiting on an Open position in the Hiring Tracker. That creates the requisition, which progresses Open, Recruiting, Offer accepted, Pushed to ATS.
  • The hire closes the loopWhen the candidate is hired in Lever, the requisition closes and the position flips to Filled. With Workday connected, the hire flows on to Workday.

Setup

How setup works

  1. Select the ATS in Settings > System. The Integrations hub adapts to the ATS you choose.

  2. Open the ATS card in Settings > Integrations and enter the Lever credentials.

  3. Agree the requisition and event mappings with the implementation team. They are configured per customer.

  4. Run Start Recruiting on a test position, confirm the req reaches the ATS, and confirm the hire event returns.

Greenhouse is the deep, bidirectional ATS integration and the reference for this class. The Lever connector uses the same framework; specific field maps, sync schedules and marketplace listings are not claimed on this page.

Who uses it

One integration, three teams

  • Finance

Finance sees every open req tied to a budgeted position, so the hiring plan and the forecast are the same list.

  • HR and HRIS

HR sees the position request, its approvals and the requisition in one History, and never has to ask which openings were authorized.

  • Recruiting

Recruiting keeps working in Lever and stops working ghost reqs: a req exists only after an approved position starts recruiting.

How is it set up?
